In Karnataka, a state in India, the police have been busy for the past few days investigating a kidnapping. A ten-year old girl was kidnapped from a school in Kalaburagi district. The girl has been found and is being treated at a hospital. The police have also nabbed two of the kidnappers who tried to sell the girl. They're trying to find out if there may be more kidnappers involved as well as the motive behind this kidnapping. Police are also trying to find out if the girl was taken away by the culprits to convert her to another religion. The police have started off by arresting two of the kidnappers. They're an auto driver named Prakash and his friend Sharat. The police suspect that they may have been part of a larger criminal gang that excels at kidnapping women and selling them into prostitution or into slavery. As part of their investigation, the police questioned many people in the surrounding areas looking for witnesses or people who would be able to provide information about this case. One of the people questioned was a woman named Mohana, who had dropped her daughter off at school on Thursday morning before going to work. The police were able to determine quickly that the woman's daughter was one of the kidnappers by finding her photo in Prakash's mobile phone. The police are still looking for anyone else involved in the kidnapping. The police have been following up on leads from Mohammed Shafi, a key eyewitness, who is currently staying with his foster father in Nagasandra. According to him, he saw Sharat and Prakash running away from the school after kidnapping the girl. He also said he saw a group of about six men entering another home near his house with a woman and a child who appeared to be about four years old. They were all inside for around five minutes before they left their home at 5:15PM that day. In order to confirm the story told by Shafi, the police brought him to the home where he said he saw a woman and a child with a group of men. They knocked on the door and asked if they could ask them some questions. A man at the door welcomed them in and said, "Please come in." At first he denied having done anything wrong, but after some questioning, he admitted that there were people inside his home at the time that Shafi mentioned. The police then arrested him for being involved in kidnapping along with Prakash and Sharat. On the same day, the police found a four year old girl walking in a neighborhood near the school. She was walking with a group of boys who were playing in a nearby field. When they got closer, she hid in some bushes and cried. The searchers asked her what had happened and she said that she was being kidnapped by girls from her school from two to three hours before they found her. The police then went onto Kalaburagi City Hospital for a forensic test to confirm if the child was indeed the victim of kidnapping or if she was simply lost and later reunited with her family. cfa1e77820
